| We have a date! August 15th! So 6 months. Not bad and so doable. I'm going to be a wife. I think that's cool. | | |
| We're engaged! And so happy too! | | |
| I don't know what it is about winter, but it makes me want to do nothing. Absolutely nothing, but eat and sleep of course. It's bad. I definitely feel like we all should hybernate during the winter. But, we can't. So it's time for me to get up and get going. Today I finally began to clean my house. I didn't do much of that over the holidays. I'm done with the kitchen, closet, and bathroom leaving my bedroom/living area. That's the easy part. It's funny that I problem spend more time in the kitchen and bathroom then the living room in my apt. I like it though. It's tarting to come together. Wouldn't know if you saw it, but oh the progress! Plus, I now have a vision for what I want the rest to look like, so I feel a lot closer. I'm in love with garlic. And it's not good. I could eat it with everything! I've started cooking (for myself) and I add a ton of it to everything which makes me feel like later, it's going to be seeping out of my skin! I'll just swallow some scope and call it good. I like how crisp it is outside. Nothing like budling and a hot drink. If you like Chai, I just had the absolute best one I've ever tasted in my life last night. It was at Gaya (on Diamond, right by the Cherry intersection). It was like drinking a cinnamon stick. It made me so happy! Two favorite foods right now: fried rice and potatoes. Carbo load anyone? Patrick and I start the Y on Monday. I'm very excited. I'm ready to get moving...you know, with the whole stop hybernating and such? Well...that's pretty much my life in a nutshell. Have a nice day! | | |
| So the holiday season has flown by! I just put my tree up today. Late? I know. I almost felt like "what's the use at this point?" but I definitely feel like it was worth it! It's a cute little fake tree. Just a 5 foot-er. But I love it and it makes me feel like Christmas. I also finished all of my shopping...finally. I think I was just so busy this year that I pretty much forgot I had to get everything done. I'm ready for the New Year. Isn't it funny how a change in the date and we decide we can try new things, make new goals, and flip around our worlds? That's how it works for me. It feel rejuvinating. I don't know what it is, but I like new beginnings. Speaking of new, Patrick has a new apartment. Him and Carly, his sister, just moved into the Globe. I really like it there. It's cute. Plus, I love seeing Carly more. Have I told you how blessed I am to know his family? They're great and I am grateful. We have two new babies in our family. They're two beautiful girls, Jubilee and Scarlett. We had our family Christmas party today and they were both there along with the rest of the crew. We have such an amazing family. I love to see everyone. My uncle pointed out how blessed we are to have such a healthy family, especially with so many of us. Both of our two newest babies were miracles. They both had the possibility of a "disease" or "defect". And yet, they both came out perfectly healthy and absolutely beautiful. We are so lucky. Anyway, that is all I have to share. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy your families. peace on earth and goodwill toward men- | | |
| Life is good. You should know that. First and foremost, I work at Red Lobster again. I work 2 nights/week. It is okay. I don't wish to be there permenantly, however, the situation was a must. So, since I've been gone, my 3 year anniversary passed. 3 years there = 2 weeks paid vacation. I was very bummed thinking that I had missed it. However! I just came across some information that means....tadah! I get my vacation pay in December! They just pushed my anniversary back a little, but I still get it! I was oh so excited! Last night we had dinner with the McDaniel's. They are so nice. I always enjoy good company, always. I'm very hungry right now. I'm going to make some pies tonight. I enjoy cooking. It is always a good time. So, I've been doing this Turbo Jam video workout. It is tough! Well, finally, I am extremely excited for Christmas. This is my favorite season! I'll begin shopping this week. I'm also hoping to get a tree! Plus I get to go to a Christmas-themed wedding. Patrick is moving soon. Then we have many family Christmas parties. We'll throw some ice-skating in there, and a good drive to look at Christmas lights with a big cup of hot cocoa. I'm ready for snow too! I've already been listening to many Christmas tunes. And to top it all of, a nice trip to Chicago with some of my favorite people. It's gonna be great! Best wishes to all, and to all...a good night! | | |
